On Thursday, the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Iraq announced the implementation of a security operation in the Anbar desert to search for ISIS terrorist cells.

On Thursday, the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Iraq announced the implementation of a security operation in the Anbar desert to search for ISIS terrorist cells.

A statement from the PMU stated that a joint force of the 27th Brigade for special missions and the army had implemented, at dawn today, a security operation in the Anbar desert to search for and eliminate ISIS remnants.

The statement added that the operation was launched with air cover from Iraqi Air Force.
