The International Nonviolence Organization (Free Muslim) urged the government of the United Arab Emirates to include in its school curricula the biography of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in order to acquaint the younger generations with the greatness of these imams and their positions that were recorded in Islamic history in its brightest pages.
The international organization’s call comes at a time when it announced the inclusion of the Jewish Holocaust in school curricula.
The organization said in a statement, which was received by Shia Waves News Agency, “The UAE authorities have shown their keenness to spread science, world cultures, and important historical events.”
It continued, “The biography and teachings of the Muslim imams from the descendants of the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his progeny) are no less important and enrich the educational process of Muslim students, whether they are in the Emirates or abroad.”
The organization pointed out that “a large part of the Emirati community follows the school of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), which makes it necessary to include this important Islamic heritage within the school curricula.”
