Nonviolence Organization calls on Arab leaders to carry out full reforms
The International Nonviolence Organization (Free Muslim) called on the leaders of the Arab countries to implement comprehensive reforms at various levels, and to search for ways to recover the deterioration occurring in their countries, according to a statement issued by organization and received by Shia Waves Agency on the occasion of the Arab Summit in Algeria.
The Washington-based organization said: “The kings, princes and leaders of Arab countries are collaborating to meet in Algeria to hold the Arab summit in light of an exceptional global reality that is disturbed by unprecedented changes since World War II”.
“The most important of these reforms is to start establishing democratic conditions, combating financial and administrative corruption, stopping the confiscation of public and private rights, especially freedom of expression and peaceful dissent, as well as improving living conditions and reforming education and health services in line with human rights guaranteed by divine laws and positive laws”, it added.
The organization also called for “the release of detainees in connection with political issues, journalists and human rights activists,” noting that it is necessary “to open a page with peoples for reconciliation and frankness alike, to involve societies in political decision-making in their countries.”
