On Monday, the district chief of Baiji district in Salah al-Din Muhammad Mahmoud announced that 85% of the displaced people in the district had returned to their areas of residence.
Mahmoud said in a statement that the Baiji district recorded a return rate of 85% for the displaced, indicating that the security situation is largely stable in the district.
He added that the electricity, health and education sectors are proceeding normally but need additional cadres.
