Funeral processions of Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad

The funeral procession of the two martyrs Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Major General Qassem Soleimani, as well as the other martyrs killed in the US airstrike on Friday, arrived in Baghdad today. 

 

The funeral procession of the two martyrs Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Major General Qassem Soleimani, as well as the other martyrs killed in the US airstrike on Friday, arrived in Baghdad today. 

The US airstrike was launched near the Baghdad International Airport.   

The funeral procession witnessed the presence of many official and government figures and clerics, as well as large groups of citizens and fighters of the PMU.

The Deputy Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Committee, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, Commander of the “Quds Force” in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Major General Qassem Soleimani, Director of the Public Relations Directorate in the Popular Mobilization Units, Mohammad Redha, and others were martyred on Friday dawn.

The security forces closed the bridges of Al-Jadiriya, in preparation for the funeral procession.
