Iraqi immigration: 500 families transferred from Al-Hol camp to the country annually

The Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced the mechanism of transferring 500 families from the Syrian Al-Hol camp into Iraq. The ministry’s spokesman, Ali Jahakir, said in a statement that was followed by Shia Waves, that “the talk about transferring the families of the ISIS terrorist Organization from Al-Hol camp in Syria to Iraq is still unofficial.”

He indicated that “the plan did not specify the date and timing so far, but it specified the transfer of 500 families distributed throughout the year, with 100 families at a time.”

He pointed out that “these families will be transferred, after entering Iraq, to a community rehabilitation center in Al-Jada’a camp in Nineveh, under the supervision of the National Security Advisory and Joint Operations and a number of civil society organizations.”
Jahakir indicated that “most of the families that will be transferred from the camp will be from Anbar.”
Statistics from the Ministry of Immigration indicate that there are between 29 and 30 thousand Iraqis inside the Syrian al-Hol camp at the present time.
