Afghanistan: Shia clerics and politicians demand the Taliban movement to ensure social justice

A number of Shia religious scholars and politicians in Afghanistan called on the ruling terrorist Taliban movement to ensure social and public justice for the Shias and for all the Afghan people.
The scholars made statements at a meeting held in western Kabul on Monday, calling for ensuring the rights of Shias in the country.
In a statement carried by Tolo News and followed by Shia Waves, Sheikh Muhammad Juma Mubarak said: “Social justice must be ensured from several sides before anything else, at the economic and political levels,” explaining that “talks and understandings are the best solution for that.”
He added that “the movement must guarantee the rights of Shias as well as guarantee the rights of Afghan women, in order to truly feel the provision of social justice.”
Jaafar al-Mahdawi, a former member of the Afghan parliament, said: “The people will stand against those who seek war and bloodshed in the country.” But Al-Mahdawi did not name any specific group or individual.
He continued, “Any movement aimed at war and bloodshed in Afghanistan will not be welcomed by the Afghan people and will stand against it,” and said that “Afghan Shias will not allow a return to the misery and bloodshed they have been subjected to decades ago.”
