Grand Ayatollah Lotfullah Golpaygani passes away in Qom

The religious authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani, may his soul rest in peace, passed away in the holy city of Qom, south of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
The religious authority died of a heart attack at midnight on Monday, Tuesday, after a period of illness at the age of 103 years, which he spent in the service of religion and science.
The deceased scholar was one of the eminent students in Najaf, and practiced teaching, research and writing for a long time in the Qom seminary, where he authored many books in the fields of jurisprudence, speech and hadith.
The Grand Ayatollah was born in 1919 in the city of Golpaygan, in the province of Isfahan.
