The United Nations announced that 529 civilians in Yemen were killed or wounded during the three months of the conflict.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen (OCHA) stated, through its account on Twitter, that “civilians are still paying a heavy price as a result of the conflict in Yemen.”
It added that in the third quarter of this year (July, August and September), armed violence resulted in the death or injury of 529 civilians.
The Office explained that among the martyrs and wounded are 70 children and 41 women, noting that there are 6 victims a day.
The UN office did not hold any party responsible for these victims.
For nearly 7 years, Yemen has been suffering from a war that has killed more than 233,000 people, and 80 percent of the population, numbering about 30 million, has become dependent on aid, in the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, according to the United Nations.
