Bahrain: Deteriorating health condition of a detainee on hunger strike in Jaw Prison

The health condition of Bahraini academic Abdul Jalil Al-Singace has deteriorated, after he entered the fourth month of a hunger strike in Jaw Prison in Bahrain.
Bahraini human rights activist Sayed Ahmed Al-Wadaei stated that Al-Singace suffers from a decrease in immunity due to the low numbers of white blood cells in the blood.
Al-Wadaei explained that Al-Singace suffers from severe pain in the muscles of his right hand, and he has also contracted the flu.
It is noteworthy that Al-Singace has been on a hunger strike since last July to protest the ill-treatment inside the prison and the confiscation of research he has been preparing for four years.
