Dozens of Afghans in front of the German embassy in Tehran in search of asylum
Dozens of Afghans slept in front of the German embassy in Tehran, hoping to fulfill an unofficial promise of asylum.
A group of Afghan refugees who came to Iran after the Taliban terrorist movement took control of the country gathered last night in front of the German embassy in Tehran for the purpose of obtaining an entry visa and addressing their asylum issues in the European country, according to the ISNA news agency.
The group includes dozens of women and men, and their gathering in front of the German embassy in Tehran did not receive any response from officials at the German embassy.
The report indicated that some Afghan refugees, who do not have a place of residence in Tehran, had to sleep in the main street, in front of the German embassy.
