Karbala witnesses the launch of the Bani Asad Procession to commemorate the burial of the pure bodies
The holy city of Karbala witnessed the launching of mourning processions of Bani Asad to commemorate the day on which the pure martyrs of Ashura were buried on the 13th of Muharram, with the wide participation of the Karbala tribes, amid strict security, service and health measures.
A Shia Waves reporter said that the mourning processions of Bani Asad set off after the noon prayers from the shrine of Sayyid Jodeh towards the Qibla Street of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, to reach the holy shrine and conclude the condolences in the shrine of al-Abbas, peace be upon him.
A procession of mourning women gathered at the Zainabi Hill to extend their condolences to Lady Zainab, peace be upon her, amid strict security, service and health measures with the aim of preventing the spread of the Coronavirus.
Historical sources report that the first to arrive in Karbala to bury the pure bodies with Imam al-Sajjad, peace be upon him, was the tribe of Bani Asad.
