Yemeni official holds the United Nations fully responsible for the blockade imposed on the port of Hodeidah

The Director-General of Hodeidah Port Customs, Abdullah Muhammad Habib, stressed that the United Nations should bear all the responsibility and is the only one responsible for the blockade imposed on the port of Hodeidah.
Abdullah Habib said that all transport and shipping vessels were transferred from the port of Hodeidah to the port of Aden due to the blockade, while the port of Hodeidah can accommodate all types of ships, stressing that traders should pressure the shipping companies to benefit from the reduction of customs tariffs in the port of Hodeidah.
He pointed out that the facilities in the port of Hodeidah do not exist in any other port, pointing out that the customs authorities in Sana’a have used a new system that authorizes merchants to use it via the internet.
