Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee inaugurates the first Husseiniyah and Islamic Seminary for Women in Niger


The Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee has inaugurated the first Husseiniyah and Islamic Seminary for Women in the capital of Niger, Niamey, in the presence of religious and cultural figures and a large crowd of people.
In a statement received by Shia Waves, the Committee stated that, in compliance with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, on the necessity of disseminating the teachings of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and with the support of the Ahlulbayt Charitable Fund, the Kuwait-based Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee opened the first Husseiniyah and Islamic Seminary for Women in Niger.”
The Committee added, “The Husseiniyah and seminary were named Lady Fatima, peace be upon her.”
According to a statement, several lectures were delivered by speakers including Sheikh Salman, representative of the international committee in Niger.
The Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee is preparing to hold hundreds of Husseini mourning ceremonies in the African continent in the holy month of Muharram 1443 AH.
