The Muslim Youth Organization in Austria announced a lawsuit against the so-called political Islam map, which was published by the Austrian Integration Ministry on the internet, last Thursday.
The map contains the names of 623 mosques, Islamic organizations and associations based in Austria and commissioned by the Documentation Center for Political Islam, which was established in 2015 as an independent fund in the Republic of Austria, and citizens can now find the names of more than 600 mosques and associations, their addresses, the identities of their officials and their potential relationships.
The full name of this fund is the Austrian Fund for Documenting Political Extremism with Religious Motives, and the Austrian government decided to use this fund for documentation and scientific research in political Islam.
The organization said that publishing all the names and addresses of Islamic institutions or institutions that read as Islamic is an unprecedented violation.
In this context, the Evangelical Church also expressed reservations about the publication of this map, and Bishop Michael Chaluboka called on Integration Minister Susan Raab to remove the map from the Internet.
