Mashhad: Religious foundation and crowds of people demand the UN to pressure Saudi Arabia to reconstruct the shrines of al-Baqi

The Mashhad-based al-Askariyain Foundation held a mourning ceremony on the International Day of al-Baqi, which commemorates the anniversary of the demolition of al-Baqi graves in Medina.
The ceremony was attended by many religious and cultural personalities and Ahlulbayt followers.
The participants denounced the crime of the demolition of al-Baqi by the Wahhabis, calling on the United Nations and the international bodies concerned to pressure Saudi Arabia to rebuild the holy graves and allow Ahlulbayt followers to visit the holy shrines.
