Human Rights Commission: Governmental institutions are required to commemorate the National Day of Mass Graves

Today, a member of the Human Rights Commission, Fadhel al-Gharawi, called on the government and all state institutions to commemorate the National Day of Mass Graves in memory of the brutal massacres that took place against the Iraqi people and left thousands of martyrs.
In a statement, al-Gharawi said that the mass grave crimes that were committed during the era of the previous regime, and were re-committed by ISIS terrorists, are nothing but genocide crimes whose basis were sectarian, religious, ethnic and nationalism.
Al-Gharawi called on the government and all state institutions to commemorate this day and shed light on this heinous crime and the sacrifices of the martyrs as well as to expedite the procedure of opening all mass graves and to conduct DNA matching with the families of the victims, in addition to the inclusion of the martyrs in the law of the Martyrs Foundation.
