United Nations: About 10 thousand Palestinians displaced as a result of the attacks on Gaza

The United Nations announced the displacement of about 10 thousand Palestinians, as a result of the recent Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated, in a statement, that the number of displaced people is estimated at about 10 thousand Palestinians who left their homes to schools and mosques in the Gaza Strip, amid limited access to water, food, hygiene and health services.
It pointed out that access to health services in hospitals and to water (in Gaza) is linked to electricity, and it expects to run out of fuel needed to operate these services by next Sunday.
The statement called on Israeli officials and Palestinian factions to allow the United Nations to bring fuel, food and medical supplies, and to deploy humanitarian workers in this context.
He also reminded the parties of the need to respect international humanitarian law and human rights law.
