Shia community in the Netherlands announces the establishment of mourning ceremonies for martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali


The Shia community in the Netherlands is preparing to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, from Ramadan 19-21.
Mourning ceremonies will be held on the nineteenth night of the great month of Ramadan, which corresponds to Saturday, May 1, 2021.
The administrations of religious centers, mosques and Husseiniyat stated that they are preparing to revive the nineteenth night of the great month of Ramadan, which coincides with the tragedy of the attack on the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, in the mihrab of the Kufa Mosque and then his martyrdom on the twenty-first of the great month.
The administration of the Islamic Center in the Dutch city of The Hague said, “The lovers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, are preparing to hold mourning ceremonies in memory of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and his tragic martyrdom.”
The ceremonies will be limited to men only due to covid restrictions and adhering to preventive health measures.”
