Shia Rights Watch demand accountability and prosecution of Baghdad suicide blasts perpetrators
Shia Rights Watch expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist bombing that targeted the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, calling on the authorities to hold the parties involved accountable and prosecute the perpetrators.
“More than 32 civilians were killed and others were wounded in twin explosions targeting one of the main streets in the capital, Baghdad,” the organization added in a statement, received by Shiawaves Agency. They were carried out by two suicide bombers, targeting as usual a civilian gathering of people and passers-by in a market.
Official statements, according to the statement, indicate a dangerous escalation by ISIS terrorist organization’s elements during the past few months in their terrorist acts targeting civilians, especially Shia Muslims in Iraq, which requires effective measures to confront the criminal acts committed by the terrorist organization and limit its dangerous threats.
The organization concluded its statement by invoking God Almighty to heal the wounded with a speedy recovery, and to bless the souls of the martyrs.
