United Nations: We seek to prevent escalation in the Hodeidah

The United Nations said that it is monitoring the military situation in the coastal city of Hodeidah, in western Yemen, and is seeking to stop the escalation.
This came in a tweet by the United Nations mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement, on its Twitter account, hours after the announcement of the Saudi coalition aircraft launching two strikes near the port of Hodeidah.
The mission said, “We are following with concern the reports about the air activity that culminated in explosions heard near the port of Hodeidah yesterday evening,” adding that it “comes during a period of increased air operations, civilian casualties and increased ceasefire violations in the province.”
The mission confirmed that it is “closely monitoring the situation and engaging in a multilateral response to prevent any further escalation of violence in the province.”
