Five million pilgrims participated in revival of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askary in Samarra

The al-Askariyain Holy Shrine announced the participation of five million pilgrims from various provinces in the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan al-Askary, peace be upon him.
Head of the Media Department, Sheikh Muhannad al-Sharhani, said, “The total number of pilgrims, according to the data provided by the authorities from the 4th of Rabi al-Awwal until the 8th, reached about five million pilgrims.”
He added, “The pilgrimage witnessed the participation of more than 720 service tents and more than 69 committees supporting the Holy Shrine, alongside over 3500 volunteers and 119 journalists.”
It is noteworthy that the al-Askariyain Holy Shrine witnessed the arrival of millions of honorable pilgrims at Samarra, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askary, peace be upon him.
