Thousands of pilgrims flocked to the Iraqi province of Babylon to commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Haleef Alquran; Zaid Bin Ali, peace be upon them, amidst strict security measures.

According to reports, all the roads leading to the holy shrine, which is located in Alkfel district, were overcrowded with pilgrims, along with mourning processions coming from various Iraqi cities to mark the event.

A security plan has been implemented to facilitate the movement of the pilgrims and to protect them from takfiri attacks.
