Iraqi southern provinces began implementing security plans to protect pilgrims in their march towards the holy city of Karbala during Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
Basrah Province began implementing its security plan a week ago as it’s the first province whose people start their march towards holy city of Karbala.
Thi- Qar, the neighboring province of Basra, implemented its Arbaeen’s security plan on Saturday with the deployment of 20 security personnel.
Health detachments and ambulance vehicles were also distributed along the roads leading to the holy city.
Meanwhile, the provinces of Muthana, Diwaniya, Najaf, and Babylon completed their preparations to receive the massive number of Arbaeen’s pilgrims.
