Finland tops World Happiness Rankings for eighth consecutive year

Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for the eighth year in a row, according to the World Happiness Report 2025, released Thursday.
The annual rankings, published by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford, see other Nordic countries—Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden—maintaining their spots in the top four.
The rankings are based on people’s self-assessments of their lives, with data collected in partnership with Gallup and the U.N. Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
