Shias worldwide hold grand celebrations in honor of Imam al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba’s blessed birth

Across Iraq and beyond, holy shrines of Ahlulbayt and religious centers came alive with vibrant celebrations marking the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, the eldest son of Imam Ali and Fatimah, peace be upon them, and the second Infallible Imam.

The holy shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Holy Najaf has been beautifully decorated with 25,000 high-quality fresh flowers in celebration of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, marked today, 15th of holy Ramadan.

Large crowds of believers from Iraq and other countries gathered at key sites, filled with devotion, faith, and unity, renewing their pledge of allegiance and commitment to the path of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

In Iraq, the most significant events were held at major Shia shrines, including those of Imam Ali in Najaf, Imam Hussain in Karbala, and Imam Kadhim in Baghdad. The festivities featured a wide range of activities, including Quranic recitations, lectures on the Imam’s virtues, cultural exhibitions, and processions of loyalty.

Devotional poems and praise in honor of Imam al-Hasan filled the places, with the faithful engaging in prayers and discussions focused on his exemplary life of wisdom, peace, and justice.

In Glasgow, the Ahlulbayt Association hosted a joyous gathering attended by the local Shia community. The event featured Quranic recitations, a lecture on Imam Hasan’s life, and heartfelt songs. The believers prayed to Allah to hasten the honorable reappearance of the Imam of the Time.

Additionally, centers, Husayniyas and charities affiliated with Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi around the world organized various events and religious competitions across the globe to honor Imam al-Hasan, peace be upon him, and spread awareness of his virtuous legacy.
