Iraqi forces destroy 8 ISIS hideouts in Hamrin mountains

Iraq’s Security Media Cell announced the destruction of eight ISIS hideouts in the Hamrin Mountains following coordinated airstrikes, Iraqi News Agency reported on Thursday.

The operation, conducted under the directives of Commander-in-Chief Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, targeted areas known for their challenging geography.

Using intelligence from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service and military agencies, airstrikes were carried out by Szna Caravan aircraft within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector.

The hideouts, used for shelter, transportation, and weapons storage, were completely destroyed. The security forces emphasized their commitment to sustaining pressure on ISIS remnants through continued intelligence and operational efforts.
