75% surge in terror attacks in Central Africa during November, report confirms

Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism reported a 75% rise in terror attacks across Central Africa in November compared to October, with four attacks resulting in 43 deaths and 32 injuries.

The Democratic Republic of Congo witnessed three attacks causing 28 fatalities, while Chad reported one attack, leaving 15 dead and 32 injured, the report said. It continueed that Cameroon maintained stability for the fourth consecutive month, attributed to military operations against militants.

In counter-terrorism efforts, the Observatory said that November saw 113 militants killed and 9 arrested, marking a significant increase from October. It urged enhanced collaboration among African nations to curb the growing threat of extremism.
