FreeMuslim Association urges Syrians to preserve state, protect its institutions

The FreeMuslim Association, an international anti-violence organization, has expressed deep concern over the ongoing political and security developments in Syria, warning of the negative repercussions of a political system collapse on Syrian society.

In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the organization noted that recent transformations in Syria have involved numerous rights violations and humanitarian abuses, as well as internal and external attacks targeting state institutions and infrastructure vital to the public.

FreeMuslim emphasized the international community’s significant responsibility to assist the Syrian people, calling for urgent efforts to ensure civil peace, security, and humanitarian aid, urging support for Syrian political parties to help organize state affairs and promote democracy, pluralism, and public and private freedoms.

The organization encouraged Syrian social groups to adopt dialogue and collective action to meet the people’s demands for a dignified life, while stressing the importance of respecting religious, sectarian, and cultural diversity, highlighting the need to uphold human rights as outlined in both secular laws and divine teachings.

The statement also underscored the necessity for social groups to take the initiative in safeguarding state institutions, infrastructure, and holy sites, calling for efforts to preserve Syria’s unity and sovereignty, ensuring stability and a secure future for its people.
