The Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) announced a donation of 3.9 million Malaysian Ringgit ($875,000) from the Rizalman Ibrahim Foundation to support the full translation of the Holy Quran into Malaysian Sign Language (MSL).

The initiative, which began with Juz’ Amma and selected chapters, aims to complete the full Quran by October 2030. USIM highlighted the project’s role in providing accessible Quranic education for the deaf and hard of hearing, addressing a long-standing gap.
