Pakistan is preparing to host the 4th International Festival of Islamic Arts from November 15 to 18, 2024, coinciding with the International Day of Islamic Art on November 18.
According to officials, the festival aims to raise awareness about Islamic artistic heritage and its impact on both ancient and contemporary civilizations, highlighting the role of Islamic art as a bridge between cultures throughout history.
The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization announced that the festival will take place at the “Alhamra” Art Complex and the Lahore Fort and Museum. It will include educational workshops in areas such as painting and Arabic calligraphy.
Artists from Turkey and Iran will participate in the festival, along with attendees from various countries in the region. The event will showcase the winning works from the international “IRCICA” calligraphy competition, which is one of the prominent specialized artistic events.
