Malaysian PM highlights role of Muslim academics in shaping future of Islamic world
Malaysia’s Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Muslim academics in shaping a bright future that aligns with the humanitarian values of the Islamic world.
During his public speech at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim called on all Muslim academics to defend values, commit to them, and work towards creating a bright future for the Islamic world.
He highlighted the challenges facing the Islamic world and urged Islamic leaders to intensify their efforts to combat Islamophobia, discrimination, and hypocrisy practiced by global powers.
The Prime Minister expressed sadness over the hatred displayed by many non-Muslim countries towards their Muslim minorities, asking, “Why do you talk about humanity, democracy, and human rights, but allow some to violate these principles through brutal acts in Rwanda, Gaza, and elsewhere?”.
