Mazar-i-Sharif-based office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi digs new well for needy families
Based on efforts of the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Afghanistan’s Mazar-i-Sharif, a new well has been dug to provide people with drinking water. The total number of wells dug until now is 58.
In its statement to Shia Waves Agency, the office said: “the new well is the 58th to be opened based on the recommendations of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Shirazi and the efforts of his office members in Mazar-i-Sharif Sharif.”
It was further explained that “the well was opened as part of a comprehensive and vital project within the Imam Al-Zaman Mosque to meet the water needs of the believers,” noting that “the project will cover approximately 300 families in the area.”
The office pointed out that “amid difficult circumstances and ongoing water scarcity, the religious authority has made efforts to meet the needs of the believers, especially in terms of water, which is a fundamental and important factor for sustaining life.”
