Qibla Basement project sees progress in its construction work

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has revealed further progress in its Qibla Basement project, which is a part of its plan to expand the area surrounding the holy shrine.

Pictures obtained by Shia Waves Agency document the project’s advancement, including wall and ceiling tiling works.

According to officials, the Qibla Basement project covers an area of 1800 square meters and will be connected to the other three basements upon completion.

These projects come to accommodate the growing numbers of pilgrims from Iraq and other world countries, especially during massive gatherings such as the Holy Arba’een of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
