Turkish forces ‘neutralize’ 12 PKK fighters in northern Iraq: reports

Turkish security forces have carried out an airstrike in northern Iraq, “neutralizing” 12 members of the PKK organization, media outlets said citing the Ministry of Defense.

The airstrike took place in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq, targeting fighters identified as operating on behalf of the PKK in the area, according to a written statement issued on April 15.

The operation came one day after Turkish forces “neutralized” three PKK fighters in northern Syria, as per another announcement on April 14, media reports said.
