Millions of Shias commemorate martyrdom of Imam Ali, blessed Laylat al-Qadr in Holy Najaf

Millions of people have flocked to the holy shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Holy Najaf to commemorate his painful martyrdom and to revive the blessed Laylat al-Qadr.

In a spiritual and religious atmosphere, the mourners expressed their condolences to the Imam al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar, may Allah Almighty hasten his honorable reappearance, and vowed to continue to follow the path of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

According to officials, thousands of service workers from the Holy Shrine’s Service Department have fully mobilized, supported by 2000 volunteers, to provide various services to the honorable pilgrims.

The local government in Holy Najaf and the Secretariat-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, had prepared early plans to serve the visitors, including cultural, religious, and guidance programs, as well as iftar programs in the weeks leading up to the end of blessed Ramadan.
