With support from Supreme Religious Authority, Shia centres launch Ramadan humanitarian campaigns
Charities and humanitarian organizations in Iraq and around the world have launched humanitarian campaigns to assist impoverished and needy families during the holy month of Ramadan.
Several charitable institutions and centers affiliated with the Supreme Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi have begun their philanthropic campaigns to provide needy families with essentials.
According to the offical website of the Grand Marja, the humanitarian programs include distributing food baskets, meals, medicines, meat, and financial aid to a significant number of families, including orphans, martyrs’ families, and the poor, with these programs set to continue throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.
The official website highlighted that “Grand Ayatollah Shirazi has recommended expanding these services and providing them throughout the holy month of Ramadan to reduce the suffering of these noble families and meet their essential needs in light of difficult living conditions.”
