Israeli strike hits Iranian state TV headquarters as cross-border attacks escalate
…………………..
Israel intensified its military campaign against Iran on Monday, targeting key infrastructure in Tehran, including the headquarters of state television, The New York Times reported. The ongoing conflict, now in its fourth day, marks the deadliest escalation between the two countries to date.
Early Monday, Israeli forces struck the Quds Force headquarters in Tehran and issued evacuation orders to residents in northeastern parts of the capital, citing plans to hit military sites. Later, Iran’s state broadcaster building in the area was set ablaze.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the strike, calling the broadcaster a platform for “propaganda and incitement.” Iran responded with large-scale missile attacks, hitting multiple Israeli cities. Israeli officials reported at least eight civilian deaths on Monday alone — five in Petah Tikva and three in the north.
The Israeli military launched a wide-ranging aerial offensive early Friday targeting Iranian military sites and facilities linked to its nuclear program. Iran has responded with retaliatory strikes, heightening fears of a broader regional conflict.
News reports said that ongoing Israeli airstrikes across Iran have killed at least 406 people and wounded 1,400 others, marking a sharp escalation in regional hostilities. As both sides exchange heavy fire, fears are growing of a wider regional conflict potentially involving the U.S. and other powers.
