US Muslim Rights Group Expresses Solidarity After Foiled Plot Targeting Irish Mosque

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a leading US-based Muslim civil rights organization, has expressed solidarity with the Muslim community in Ireland following the foiling of an alleged far-right plot targeting the Galway mosque in western Ireland.
According to IQNA, Irish authorities recently arrested two men accused of involvement in the planned attack, which investigators say was orchestrated by an extremist group. In a statement, CAIR urged Irish officials to ensure the safety of all religious communities and to hold accountable those responsible for planning or encouraging acts of hatred.
CAIR said the incident reflects a broader rise in anti-Muslim sentiment, noting that attacks on places of worship remain a serious concern across Europe and North America.
The organization has issued similar statements in recent weeks, including expressions of support for Muslim communities in the Netherlands after threats against a local mosque. CAIR has also condemned Islamophobic remarks and legislative proposals in France, Portugal, Austria, and Switzerland, warning of a growing climate of hostility toward Muslims across Europe.
