On the occasion of the International Day of Friendship, observed annually on July 30, the FreeMuslim Association (a global anti-violence organization) issued a statement urging Muslim communities and the international community to seize this occasion to promote a culture of friendship, solidarity, and dialogue among nations and cultures.
In a statement seen by Shia Waves Agency, the organization emphasized that friendship is “a powerful tool for bridging cultures, easing tensions, and overcoming ethnic and religious divides.” It stressed the importance of sincere dialogue as a means of confronting shared global challenges.
Quoting the Quranic verse: “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another…”, the organization highlighted this message as a foundation for building relationships rooted in respect and cooperation across humanity.
In its statement, FreeMuslim called for:
• Rejecting all forms of hatred and extremism while fostering brotherhood and tolerance;

• Engaging openly with followers of other religions and denominations to identify common ground;

• Promoting collective efforts to uphold peaceful coexistence and ensure societal stability;

• Supporting initiatives that enhance intercultural understanding and spread the message of peace.
