Indonesia is working to strengthen its role in the global halal economy through the D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia 2026, held at Tennis Indoor Senayan in Jakarta from July 9 to 12.
The exhibition is part of the Developing-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation summit and is being held under the theme “Strengthening D-8 Halal Economy Through International Collaboration.”
The event aims to expand halal economic cooperation among the D-8 member states: Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Türkiye.
Indonesia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said the expo focuses on strengthening the global halal production ecosystem and supply chain, from raw materials and industrial zones to logistics, distribution, and end users.
The exhibition also seeks to boost cooperation among D-8 countries in human resource development, training programs, and technology exchange to support the production and growth of halal products.
