Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world, with approximately 209 million adherents, and is home to nearly 800,000 mosques, according to recent global statistics. This makes Indonesia the country with the highest number of mosques worldwide.

Following Indonesia, India has about 176 million Muslims and roughly 300,000 mosques, while Pakistan is home to approximately 185 million Muslims and nearly 120,000 mosques.

In Bangladesh, the Muslim population is estimated at 134 million, supported by around 250,000 mosques, indicating a widespread presence of religious infrastructure relative to population size.

Among Arab countries, Egypt has about 77 million Muslims and 108,000 mosques, while Turkey hosts roughly 71 million Muslims with 82,000 mosques. Saudi Arabia, with a population of around 30 million Muslims, has approximately 94,000 mosques, reflecting a relatively high mosque-to-population ratio.
