Indonesia: Road crash leaves 12 dead, two Injured

At least 12 people lost their lives in Indonesia on Monday when a car crashed into a bus and another car on a busy highway as people were traveling to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr with their families, Anadolu News Agency reported.

According to local authorities, two people, a coach attendant and a bus passenger, were injured in the accident, which occurred in Karawang town of West Java province at around 7am.

Road accidents are common in Indonesia due to poor safety standards.

Last December, 12 people died after a passenger bus collided with a roadside guardrail and overturned in the West Java town of Purwakarta.
