Residents of Indian city of Ajmer launch initiative to send Ahlulbayt followers to Holy Karbala

The residents of the Indian city of Ajmer in the state of Rajasthan have launched an initiative to facilitate travel to Holy Karbala to those willing to perform pilgrimage to Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them.

The Indian news website “ETV Bharat” published a video report, translated by Shia Waves Agency, in which it said that “the people of Ajmer city in the state of Rajasthan will now be able to honorably visit the holy city of Karbala.”

The newspaper explained that “the new initiative includes a 200-rupee ticket under the slogan ‘Realizing the Dream of Believers Eager to Perform the Rituals of the Visit’, in the form of a public draw that will be held later.”

The report quoted one of the believers who were included in the draw, who said that “I was sure that I would one day achieve this honor, and that Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, would invite me to Karbala.”

He emphasized “the journey to Holy Karbala is the desire of all the nation of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family.”

The Indian website, which publishes in Urdu, commended the initiative launched by the young Muslims in the city, and their assumption of responsibility for sending the lovers of the Prophet’s family, peace be upon them, on a visit to Holy Karbala.
