India-based Darul-Uloom accused of failing to adress Taliban’s Ban on women’s education
According a report by the Islamabad Telegraph, requests for information on women’s education submitted through the online fatwa portal and email correspondence by Manish Rai, a geopolitical analyst for the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, have not received a response from Darul Uloom, Deoband.

The inquiry was made to obtain clarification on the permissibility of women’s education under sharia law and the compatibility of the Taliban’s ban on women’s education in Afghanistan with Islamic beliefs.
However, despite attempts to contact Darul Uloom for several months, no response has been received by Manish Rai, from the Islamic institution.
