India: Husseini art exhibition on anniversary of Arbaeen Pilgrimage in Kashmir
In Kashmir, the Husseini art exhibition launched on the anniversary of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The ‘Kashmir Observer’ newspaper said in a report translated by Shia Waves News Agency: “The one-week exhibition was launched last Wednesday, and included art and Arabic calligraphy paintings, and it attracted people both from inside and outside the city.”
The newspaper added: “The exhibition included important works of Indian artist Elias Radawi with global artists.”
“Among the images displayed, are images dating back to the era of the 1950s and the 1960s of Muharram processions, which were passing through the city,” it added.
“The advantages of this exhibition are the artistic acts used to honor the martyrs of Karbala,” the Indian newspaper said.
The newspaper quoted the exhibition organizer, the artist Elias Radawi as saying: “I organized this exhibition to honor the great martyrs of Karbala and to remember the sacrifices they gave for humanity.”
He also stressed that, “Imam Hussein has united each and every race and community through the principles of his revolution.”
Radawi said that the first art exhibition was held on the anniversary of the Arbaeen in (2012).
