Lucknow: Exhibition on Muharram with various paintings depicting the mournful month 

Around 30 paintings and 40 photographs depicting various aspects of Muharram are on display at the 14th International Muharram photo and painting exhibition which was inaugurated at State Lalit Kala Akademi last Tuesday.

These exhibits have been selected from 110 photographs and 65 paintings sent from India and abroad for the event organized by One Voice organization.

Shia Muslims participate in mourning processions during Muharram in Lucknow. They begin mourning from the first night of Muharram and continue commemorating all Husseini rituals.
