Rahul Gandhi Alleges “Massive Voter Fraud” in 2024 Lok Sabha Elections
————————————-
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of colluding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to facilitate “massive” voter fraud and “vote chori” (vote theft) during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, The Hindu reported.
During a recent press conference, Gandhi claimed to have “concrete evidence” of fake and duplicate voters, as well as voters with fraudulent addresses. He stated that his team had spent six months gathering this information. As a key example, he highlighted the Mahadevapura Assembly segment within the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha constituency. Gandhi pointed out that while the Congress party secured six of the seven segments in the Lok Sabha seat, they lost Mahadevapura by over 1,14,000 votes, a loss he attributes to fraudulent voting.
In response to his claims, the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer has requested that Gandhi provide the names of the electors and submit proof with a signed oath. Gandhi also called on the judiciary to intervene, stating that if the ECI fails to provide machine-readable data and CCTV footage, it would be “partaking in the crime.”
