The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has demanded an immediate halt to the voter list revision process in the state of Bihar, warning that it amounts to the targeted deletion of minority voters, Shia Waves Persian reported.

According to Shia Waves News Agency, citing Hindu News, Professor Saleem Engineer stated that the implementation of this plan without legal oversight poses a significant threat to democracy.

In a related development, Archbishop Joseph Kalathil issued a strong warning regarding the ongoing pressure faced by Muslims and Christians in northern India. He called for government intervention to ensure religious freedom for these communities.
