Tragic Chemical Truck Collision in India’s Rajasthan Claims 7 Lives
A devastating collision on Friday involving a chemical truck and multiple vehicles on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway in Rajasthan resulted in the deaths of seven individuals and left 35 others injured, Khaama Press reported yesterday.
The incident occurred near a petrol station and caused a significant fire that affected nearly 40 vehicles, complicating firefighting efforts.
Authorities reported that many of the injured are in critical condition and were swiftly transported to a government hospital in Jaipur. Unfortunately, the death toll is expected to rise as investigations continue.
The accident also caused substantial damage to approximately 300 meters of the highway, leading to halted traffic in the area. This tragic event underscores ongoing safety concerns regarding hazardous goods transport and road traffic in India.
